Going back and reviewing older games is often helpful. For example, consider learners who can use addition strategies, but don’t yet have all the addition facts in long-term memory. After these learners have spent time on other mathematical topics, you might notice them needing more mental effort for addition than they did before. This would be a good time to review addition.
It is a good idea for learners to repeat a game any time the game ends and they still feel unsure about the material, especially when that game ended more quickly than usual because of the random numbers that happened to come up in the dice or the cards.
