Try to sit with a table corner between you. This arrangement allows you to be on the learner’s right and still maintain eye contact. The game board should always be directly in front of the learner.
If you are helping a pair of learners at a rectangular table, they can share the longer side, with the game board directly in front of them. You can sit on the shorter side, to their right.
The floor can also work well for helping a pair of learners, as long you are comfortable sitting on the floor yourself.
If you are helping two pairs of learners at the same time, it usually works best when they are at different tables or separate spots on the floor. You will need to check in on each pair frequently.
